Manila, Philippines – Hala. In hot water ngayon ang former 90s star na si Lindsay Custodio, this time over legal troubles.
The Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 11 has issued a warrant of arrest against her in relation to a cyber libel case filed by her estranged husband, businessman Frederick Cale.
The case is rooted in allegations of online defamation, with Cale claiming that Custodio made false and damaging remarks about him on social media.
His legal team, however, strongly dismissed the claims, insisting that this is not about showbiz drama but about responsibility for words said in public.
“This is about accountability, not showbiz intrigue,” Cale’s legal team declared in a statement.
“We answered and faced the said allegations in the right venue and proper forum which is our court, not the social media court.
“The court has spoken and let due process takes its course. We trust in our justice system, that justice will be served and the truth will prevail in the end.”
Police have yet to confirm if the warrant has been served.
