MANILA, Philippines – Nagbabala ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa mga taxi driver na mahaharap ito sa parusa o multa kung mananaga sa singil sa pamasahe, mang-iisnab o mambabastos ng mga pasahero lalo na sa papalapit na Undas break.
Sa kalatas nitong Sabado, Oktubre 24, nagbabala si LTFRB Acting Chairman Atty. Greg Pua Jr. sa mga paglabag sa mga panuntunan at regulasyon ng ahensya na magdudulot ng suspensyon o kanselasyon ng Certificate of Public Convenience, bukod pa sa ibang mga multa.
“We expect more passengers going to bus terminals and other major transportation hubs starting next week. This early, we are giving a fair warning to all taxi operators to behave and stick to the rules and regulations of the authority to operate issued to them,” sinabi ni Pua.
Samantala, patuloy naman na imomonitor ng ahensya ang mga reklamo sa social media platforms at magsasagawa ng surprise inspections gamit ang mga mystery rider.
“The LTFRB is in full force when it comes to monitoring. This should serve as a strong message to both operators and drivers that we are watching you, and that you know what would happen if we catch you,” ani Pua. RNT/JGC
