MANILA, Philippines- Naghain ng reklamo laban kay Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Vigor Mendoza II dahil a umano’y paglaganap ng “no-shows” sa LTO sites.
Ikinasa ni road safety advocate Martin Nico De Los Angeles ang reklamo sa Department of Transportation.
“As a road safety advocate, I have been hearing complaints that since the extension of use of LTO IT system, the “no appearance” became more rampant wherein motor vehicles can be registered using the LTO IT system without undergoing the required inspection and documentation process,” anang complainant.
Sinabi ng complainant na “No Show” ang terminong ginagamit upang ilarawan ang scenario kung saan nakikipagsabwatan ang fixer o grupo ng fixers sa tiwaling LTO officials upang magrehistro ng motor vehicle na hindi dumaraan sa rekisitos na PMVIC inspection o ang PETC emission test.
Hindi rin dumaraan ang mga ito sa mandatory visual inspection na isinasagawa ng awtorisadong LTO inspectors.
Ani De Los Angeles, laganap na ang modus na ito at kinasasangkutan umano ng nasa 18 LTO offices sa Metro Manila at Regions I, III, at V.
Sa kasalukuyan ay wala pang tugon si Mendoza hinggil dito. RNT/SA
