MANILA, Philippines – Sinabi ng Malakanyang na titiyakin ng gobyerno na agad na makaaabot ang tulong sa mga komunidad na apektado ng malawakang pagbaha sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Sa isang kalatas, sinabi ng Office of the Special Assistant to the President na inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang lahat ng ahensiya ngpamahalaan na manatiling makipag-ugnayan sa BARMM government sa gitna ng disaster response at relief operations.
“The Marcos Jr. administration continues to maintain close coordination with the BARMM Government as disaster response, rescue, and relief operations remain ongoing across the region,” ayon sa tanggapan ni Special Assistant to the President Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr.
Ayon kay Lagdameo, mahigit isang libong emergency responders ang dineploy para tumulong sa mga apektadong komunidad.
Kabilang sa mga dineploy ang mga team mula sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at regional responders.
“In a unified effort to protect displaced families and ensure public safety, more than a thousand emergency responders, including personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, and regional responders, have been fully deployed and sustained to assist affected communities, secure vital resources, and mitigate the impact of the calamity,” ang winika ni Lagdameo.
Samantala mahigit naman sa 100,000 pamilya ang naapektuhan ng pagbaha dahil sa malakas na pag-ulan na dala ni Bagyong Inday, at southwest monsoon (habagat) sa iba’t ibang lugar sa BARMM, ayon sa Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi). (KRIS JOSE)
