MANILA, Philippines – Inanunsyo ng San Miguel Corp. (SMC) on Saturday na binuksan na ang bagong Quezon Avenue extension o “Maria Clara” northbound exit ng Skyway Stage 3 sa Quezon City.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ng SMC na ang Maria Clara exit ay operational na nitong Sabado, Disyembre 28 at inaasahang magpapaluwag ng pagsisikip sa daloy ng trapiko sa Quezon Avenue northbound exit.
Napapanahon umano ang pagbubukas ng naturang exit ngayong dagsa ang mga biyahero para sa long weekend at pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon.
“We’re opening the Maria Clara exit just in time for the last long weekend of the year, when many of our countrymen are traveling for New Year’s celebrations. This exit has been long-awaited by our motorists in Quezon City, who now have a convenient alternative,” pahayag ni SMC chairman at CEO Ramon Ang.
Nilinaw ni Ang na ang Quezon Avenue extension exit ay walang dagdag na toll fee at kapareho lamang ang singil sa Quezon Avenue northbound exit.
“We are grateful to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) for their support and close coordination with our operations team to open the Maria Clara exit for the benefit of the motoring public,” dagdag ni Ang.
Nag-isyu ng interim permit ang TRB sa pag-ooperate ng naturang exit.
“Considering the immediate need to provide an alternative route and reduce congestion at the Quezon Avenue northbound exit, the TRB grants an interim permit to operate the Maria Clara exit in the interest of the public,” ayon sa TRB.
Siniguro ni Ang sa mga motorista na magsisikap ang toll operations team ng SMC para makumpleto ang nalalabing requirements na tinukoy ng TRB.
“Our team is working double-time to comply with the remaining requirements. Meanwhile, we are deploying patrollers and road safety personnel to guide motorists using the new exit.”
Ang Skyway Stage 3 ay nagkokonekta sa Skyway System mula Gil Puyat Avenue sa Makati City patungong Balintawak sa Quezon City, kung saan idinurugtong naman ito sa North Luzon Expressway. RNT/JGC
