Inihain ni Senador Mark Villar ang Senate Bill No. 2032 o ang RELIEF Act upang magbigay ng proteksyon sa mga manggagawa at MSMEs na apektado ng energy crisis. Layunin ng panukalang ito na magkaloob ng palugit sa pagbabayad ng renta at utang, at flexible tax deadlines, para maibsan ang pasanin ng mga Pilipino sa gitna ng pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin at langis.
MANILA, Philippines – Naghain ng panukala si Senador Mark Villar na naglalayong palakasin ang seguridad at emergency preparedness sa mga paaralan, bilang tugon sa mga karasahan kamakailan sa mga paaralan sangkot ang mga estudyante.
Layon ng Senate Bill No. 2321 o proposed Learning Institution’s Guaranteed Threat Avoidance and Safety Act (Ligtas Act) na maglatag ng pare-parehong school safety framework sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan mula kinder hanggang grade 12.
“These incidents are painful reminders that violence can happen even in places where our children are supposed to feel safest. We cannot let fear become the norm in schools. We need to act before another life is lost,” saad sa pahayag ni Villar.
Kabilang din sa panukala ang paglikha ng School Safety Council sa bawat lungsod, munisipalidad, na binubuo ng local government, education, police, fire, disaster response, school, at parent representatives.
Lilikha ang naturang council ng localized safety policies, pag-coordinate ng emergency response efforts, at pagmonitor sa pagtugon ng mga paaralan sa safety standards.
“The safety of students is all our responsibility. There’s a need for coordination among schools, local governments, law enforcement, emergency responders, teachers, and parents to keep our children safe,” sinabi ni Villar.
“Through the Ligtas Act, we want safer and more prepared schools where every Filipino student is protected,” dagdag pa niya. RNT/JGC
