MANILA, Philippines – Pansamantalang sinuspinde ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang lahat ng road repairs at excavations sa national at city roads sa Metro Manila.
Layon ng suspensyon na maiwasan ang matinding daloy ng trapiko sa papalapit na Kapaskuhan.
Sa abiso nitong Sabado, Oktubre 31, sinabi ng MMDA na ang temporary suspension ng road works ay epektibo simula kaninang alas-12 ng madaling araw.
Ito ay tatagal hanggang Disyembre 23 ng alas-12 ng madaling araw.
“This is intended to minimize disruptions and ensure a smoother journey for motorists, given the expected increase in the number of vehicles as the Christmas season approaches,” sinabi ng ahensya.
Samantala, sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular No. 20 Series of 2026, ang mga sumusunod na government infrastructure projects at emergency repairs ay exempted sa moratorium:
Government flagship projects
Department of Public Works and Highways bridge repairs and constructions
Flood interceptor catchment project (box culvert)
Asphalt overlay projects nang walang reblocking works
Sidewalk improvement
Drainage improvement projects sa mga sidewalk at hindi umookupa sa anumang bahagi ng kalsada
footbridge projects
Emergency leak repairs o breakage ng water line ng Manila Water Co. at Maynilad Water Service Inc.
Bagong water service connection o electrical service connections
Road activities na walang paghuhukay (traffic clearance only)
Meralco relocation o emergency works
At iba pang proyekto na pinapayagan ng MMDA. RNT/JGC
