MANILA, Philippines- Isinumite ng Office of the Prosecutor sa International Criminal Court Pre-Trial Chamber 1 at defense team ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ebidensya para sa crimes against humanity charges na inihain laban sa dating Pangulo.
Sa Prosecution’s First Communication of the Disclosure of Evidence na may petsang March 24, sinabi ni Prosecutor Karim A.A. Khan na noong March 21, “the prosecution disclosed to the defense 181 items organised under Pre-Confirmation INCRIM package 001, listed in Confidential Annex A.”
“These items comprise the material cited in the Warrant of Arrest for Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte with the exception of those items notified to the Chamber and the Defence in the Prosecution’s related application under regulation 35 of the Regulations of the Court, for which the disclosure deadline has been extended by the Chamber,” saad sa dokumento.
Inasistihan ng Philippine authorities noong March 11 ang International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) sa pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest mula sa ICC laban kay Duterte para sa crimes against humanity kaugnay ng kanyang drug war.
Matapos ito, dinala si Duterte sa the Hague sa the Netherlands.
Dinala si Duterte noong March 13 (Philippine time) sa Hague Penitentiary Institution o ang Scheveningen Prison habang hinihintay ang paglilitis.
