MANILA, Philippines – Nag-isyu ng show cause order ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) laban kay Special Operations Group – Strike Force head Gabriel Go sa umano’y pangmamaliit sa isang pulis kasabay ng clearing operation.
“In relation to Mr. Go’s actions during clearing operations, a show cause order has already been issued to him,” saad sa pahayag ng MMDA.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our constituents. It will be a learning experience for Mr. Go and the MMDA as a whole,” dagdag pa niya.
Bagamat inilarawan nito si Go bilang isang ‘dedicated enforcer,’ nangako ang MMDA na kapag nakagawa ng pagkakamali ay idadaan nito sa due process ang isyu at pananagutin kung mapatutunayang mali.
Anang MMDA, dapat gumawa ng pormal na paghingi ng paumanhin sa pulis sa idinulot nito at sa kanyang pamilya.
Matatandaan na sa isang Facebook post, sinita ni Senador JV Ejercito si Go sa pagiging bastos umano. Hinimok din niya si
MMDA chairperson Romando Artes na disiplinahin ang kanyang mga opisyal.
“Who gave the license or authority to this Gabriel Go to act this way? Saan ba nanggaling ito at napakayabang ‘ata? Overbearing and disrespectful to a police officer at that!” ani Ejercito.
“Tinekitan naman na ang pulis tama ‘yon, no one is above the law, pero para ipahiya pa? Ano ito for the views? Dapat nag-vlogger ka na lang boi! MMDA Chairman Artes please discipline your officials!” dagdag pa ni Ejercito.
Ayon sa MMDA, si Go ay nagbitiw mula sa MMDA noong Hunyo 2023 ngunit muling kinuha para magtrabaho noong Nobyembre ng kaparehong taon.
“At the time of his rehiring, no case had been filed against him. No formal or sworn complaint, nor any supporting documentation related to the matter, was submitted to the MMDA Committee on Decorum and Investigation,” sinabi ng MMDA. RNT/JGC
