MANILA, Philippines – Nagpadala ang Office of Civil Defense ng rapid deployment team sa Naga City.
Ayon kay OCD administrator Ariel Nepomuceno on Monday, ang naturang team ang mangangasiwa sa pamamahagi ng relief goods sa lugar.
Ang relief items ay binubuo ng kitchen kits, shelter repair items, family food packs, medical supplies, at malinis na tubig.
“A team has been deployed to Naga to manage the incoming relief supplies arriving from Villamor Air Base to Bicol International Airport. This team will also facilitate the distribution of these essential items to affected areas. The Office of Civil Defense serves as the logistics coordinator for all incoming relief supplies transported via aircraft,” saad sa pahayag ni Nepomuceno.
Sinabi ng OCD na ang relief items ay kinukuha mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya at ibinabyahe patungong Bicol Region para ipamahagi sa iba’t ibang probinsya.
Nagsimula ang operasyon nitong Linggo, Oktubre 27 gamit ang mga eroplano mula Malaysia at Singapore.
Dumating na rin sa Naga City ang mga tauhan mula sa OCD regional offices para sumuporta, kabilang ang augmentation ng staff sa Emergency Operations Center at logistical assistance. RNT/JGC
