Further, a significant majority (77%) of adult Filipinos said they trust the Army, while only 2% distrust it, delivering a net trust rating of +75.

“The survey results reported here are part of a broader study of the country’s security sector. The results presented here are commissioned by the Philippine Army and focus on the public perceptions of the Philippine Army,” sinabi ng OCTA Research.

Mayroon itong ±3 percent margin of error sa 95% confidence level.

“As a result of all our programs and genuine commitment to serve, the Philippine Army gained an excellent trust and satisfaction rating in the recent Tugon ng Masa Survey in the 4th Quarter 2024 conducted by OCTA Research. This manifests that most Filipinos trust and are willing to fight with the Philippine Army to defend the country and safeguard national sovereignty against any foreign aggression,” saad sa pahayag ni Philippine Army spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala.

“These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to ensuring that we remain reliable, responsive, and relevant force in the face of evolving challenges,” dagdag niya.

“Likewise, these comprehensive data reflect that Filipinos can unite and that national resilience can be achieved given the best approach to overcome the multifarious challenges the country is facing and may face in the ever-changing security landscape,” pagtatapos ni Dema-ala. RNT/JGC
