MANILA, Philippines – Arestado ang isang opisyal ng Northern Police District (NPD) matapos na ilabas ang isang detainee sa custodial facility nang walang order form mula sa korte, sinabi ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) nitong Martes, Oktubre 28.
Sa press briefing, sinabi ni NCRPO public information office chief Police Major Hazel Asilo na inalis ang pulis sa pwesto bilang District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) chief.
Ani Asilo, inilabas ng opisyal ang detainee palabas ng piitan para umano sa case buildup.
“After ng inspection, nalaman natin na kulang yung ating mga detainee. Tinawagan ng ating duty jailer si former DSOU chief,” dagdag pa.
“At pagbalik niya kasama na niya yung detainee…Ginagamit niya daw for case buildup. Ang sinasabi niya puwede raw may maituro yung iba pang wanted persons yung ating detainee,” dagdag pa.
“The recent arrest of our own police officer for aiding sentence evasion is being addressed with full accountability,” saad naman sa pahayag ng NCRPO.
“The investigation is being carefully conducted by [the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division] and the NPD assuring that the operation followed due process and reflects our commitment to cleansing our ranks,” dagdag pa. RNT/JGC
