CAMP FLORENDO, La Union- Sinunog ng mga pulis ang 10,300 fully grown marijuana plants at 51,600 marijuana seedlings na nagkakahalaga ng P4.1 milyon sa eradication operation sa Barangay Licungan, Sugpon, Ilocos Sur nitong Miyerkules.
Sinabi ni Police Regional Office-1 Director Police Brig. Gen. Lou F. Evangelista na nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang 1,200 fully grown marijuana plants na nagkakahalaga ng P240,000 na nakatanim sa loteng may total estimated land area na 300-square meters; 9,100 fully grown marijuana plants na nagkakahalaga ng P1.8 milyon sa 1,300-square meter lot; 1,600 marijuana seedlings na nagkakahalaga ng P64,000 sa 400-square meter lot, at 50,000 marijuana seedlings na nagkakahalaga ng P2 milyon sa 5,000-square meter lot.
“This operation is a testament to the commitment of the PRO-1 to address the drug problem in the Ilocos region. Moreover, the police force will continue to work closely with other government agencies and community stakeholders to prevent the cultivation and distribution of illegal drugs,” wika ni Evangelista.
