MANILA, Philippines – Aabot sa P850 milyon na tulong ang hinatid ng Kamara sa pangunguna ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa mga naapektuhan ng bagyo sa Bicol sa ilalim ng Tabang Bicol, Tindog Oragon’ program.
Kaisa ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nasa 170,000 beneficiaries ang nabigyan ng tulong.
Nagpasalamat naman si Ako Bicol Party List Rep. Zaldy Co sa programa ni Romualdez na agarang tulong na mararamdaman ng mga residente.
“Our sincerest gratitufe to Speaker Martin and the House of Representatives for bringing hope and concrete assistance to our people. Through this program, we can significantly aid many Bicolanos in recovering from the successive typhoons,” ani Co.
Kasama ng kumprehensibong tulong ng Kamara na dinala sa Bicol Region ay food packs mula sa DSWD, financial support sa ilalim ng Integrated Shelter Assistance Program (IDSAP) ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) at DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
“These measures aim to address the immediate needs of affected families and support their recovery efforts” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Sa Catanduanes na matinding napinsala Super Typhoon Pepito, ang Housing Materials and Essentials (HOME) program naman ang mangangsiwa ng kanilang pangangailan kabilang dito ang pagbibigay ng housing kits sa may 950 residente na nawalan ng bahay.
“Each kit includes galvanized iron sheets, plywood, coco lumber, and nails, enabling beneficiaries to begin rebuilding their homes promptly,” ani Romualdez.
Samantala, sinabi ni Rep Co na kaisa ang Kamara ay kanila nang pinaplano ang programa para matugunan ang palagianv pagbaha sa Bicol.
“We are proposing constructing water impounding facilities in key flood-prone areas, which would help mitigate flooding during the rainy season and serve as irrigation systems during dry periods. This project offers a dual solution to the region’s challenges—flood prevention and water supply for farmers during droughts,” paliwanag ni Co.
