MANILA, Philippines – PINANGHAWAKAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang sinabi ni dating Public Works and Highways secretary Manny Bonoan na inaako nito ang buong responsibilidad sa kontrobersiyal na maanomalyang flood control projects kaya’t agad niyang tinanggap ang pagbibitiw nito sa puwesto.
“I think it was Secretary Bonoan who said that basically he took responsibility, all of these things happened, all of these problems, under his watch so under the principle of command responsibility that he should leave his post,” ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos.
Nauna rito, sa resignation letter ni Bonoan, nagpahayag ng suporta si Bonoan sa panawagan ng Pangulo para sa accountability, transparency, at reporma sa loob ng DPWH.
Ang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni Bonoan ay isinagawa sa gitna ng imbestigasyon sa mga anomalya sa flood control projects sa bansa. Kris Jose
