MANILA, Philippines- Nakatakdang magkaloob ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) ng P300 million na financial grants sa Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), para tustusan ang pagsasaayos ng mga pasilidad nito at magbigay ng advanced training para sa mga kadete nito.
Sinabi ng PAGCOR, saklaw ng grant ang konstruksyon ng PNPA Alumni Association building na magsisilbi bilang administrative office at dormitoryo para sa mga bumibisitang alumni, at pag-upgrade sa Crime Scene Plaza ng PNPA na magsisilbi namang training ground para sa ‘forensic at investigative procedures.’
Ayon sa PAGCOR, popondohan nito ang pagbili ng firearms training simulators, at tulungan ang PNPA na makakuha ng ‘mapping at predictive policing software para suportahan ang pagsasanay sa ‘crime analysis, visualization, at prevention.
“While PAGCOR’s primary role is to regulate the gaming industry, we also have a responsibility to support institutions like the PNPA and the national police. The law enforcement community has always been our top priority,” ang sinabi ni PAGCOR chairman and chief executive officer Alejandro Tengco.
“Technology is now a crucial aspect of law enforcement, and our cadets must have access to modern facilities and training innovations that will allow them to combat crime more effectively,” dagdag niya.
Itinurn-over naman ni Tengco ang mahigit sa P2.2-million check sa PNPA Alumni Association Inc. (PNPAAAI) na magpopondo para sa pagbili ng bagong service vehicle, at 100 tablets para tumulong sa pangangailangan sa pag-aaral ng ga kadete.
Nakapagtala ang PAGCOR ng P112-billion na revenue o kita noong 2024, dahilan para umabot at tumaas ang net operating income ng 51% sa P84.97 billion, at ang net income sa P16.76 billion. Kris Jose
