MANILA, Philippines- “It would be ridiculous if she would still be allowed to run again,” giit ni Sen. Joel Villanueva nitong Biyernes, tinutukoy ang plano ni dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo na reelection bid sa 2025 midterm elections.
Binanggit ni Villanueva nitong Biyernes ang mga kinahaharap na kaso ni Guo na inihain ng iba’t ibang ahensya kaugnay ng tunay niyang pagkakakilanlan.
“While the Commission on Elections is constrained to accept Guo Hua Ping’s Certificate of Candidacy as part of their ministerial duty, we note that there is a pending material misrepresentation case against her when she ran for mayor in 2022, along with several cases filed by other agencies pertaining to her true identity. It would be ridiculous if she would still be allowed to run again,” wika ni Villanueva.
Base kay Villanueva, hindi na maitatangging si Guo Hua Ping ay isang pekeng Pilipino.
Aniya, ang ginawa ni Guo ay isang “violation and blasphemy” sa mga batas ng Pilipinas.
Pinatalsik ng Office of the Ombudsman si Guo bilang alkalde ng Bamban, kung saan nahaharap siya sa graft, qualified human trafficking, money laundering, at tax evasion. RNT/SA
