MANILA, Philippines- Itinanggi ng may-ari ng isang car shop sa Taguig na sinalakay ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) noong Pebrero ang mga alegasyon ng pag-angkat at pag-ismagel ng luxury vehicles.
Sa sulat na ipinadala sa media entities, sinabi ng abogado ng Auto Vault Speed Shop na ang kompanya “has never been involved in the importation or sale of motor vehicles.”
“Autovault is a corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is engaged in providing car detailing and maintenance services to its customers,” saad sa liham ng legal team ng may-ari.
Base sa abogado ng Auto Vault, ang mga sasakyang iniimbestigahan ng BOC “are all privately-owned vehicles and mostly purchased from local dealerships.”
“In fact, these vehicles still bore the Dealer Plates or Conduction plates displaying the name of the dealership from where they were purchased during the alleged raid,” pahayag nito.
Ang mga may-ari umano ng mga sasakyan na sineserbisyuhan ng AutoVault ay nakapagbigay na sa BOC ng mga kopya ng mga kaukulang dokumentasyon upang hindi na imbestigahan ang shop.
Inihayag din ng may-ari ng shop ang kanilang posisyon na hindi patas “to be painted as an entity involved in the illegal practice of importing and selling smuggled luxury vehicles.” RNT/SA
