MANILA, Philippines – Inihayag ni Senate reelectionist Manny Pacquiao nitong Sabado, Pebrero 15 na ang pagsuporta sa pamamahala ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ay pagtugon sa utos ng Bibliya.
“If you look at my background, I support all the presidents,” sinabi ni Pacquiao sa isang ambush interview.
“To be honest, as followers of the Lord, we need to submit to the government authorities,” ipinunto pa ni Pacquiao.
Binanggit ng dating senador ang Romans 13:1 na nagsasabing:
“Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.”
“So if we rebel against our leader, does that mean the Lord is lying? That’s clear,” dagdag ni Pacquiao. RNT/JGC
