MANILA, Philippines – Target ng Pilipinas at Vietnam na mas palakasin pa ang palitan ng produkto ng dalawang bansa.
Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. magsusumikap ang pamahalaan para mapalawig ang bilateral trade sa Vietnam sa halagang $10 billion.
“On trade and investments, I can see many, many opportunities for our two countries to explore. The Philippines is committed to enhancing and fortifying our economic, trade, and investment ties with Vietnam,” ayon sa pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa kaniyang pulong kay Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Ayni Marcos, sa ngayon nasa halos US$7 billion ang halaga ng bilateral trade ng dalawang bansa kaya target itong maitaas sa US$10 billion.
Ibinida din ng pangulo sa Vietnamese leader ang paglago ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas sa ikatlong quarter ng taong 2023 dahilan para ang bansa ay mapasama bilang isa sa may pinakamalakas na ekonomiya sa Asya.
“This reflects the Philippine government’s efforts to implement structural economic reforms, including the enactment of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Code last December, which will streamline the PPP processes and eventually address the Philippines’ large infrastructure gaps,” ayon kay Marcos.
Pangunahing ine-export ng Pilipinas sa Vietnam ay mga electrical machinery, equipment and parts; copper and articles; nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliance, and parts; plastics and articles; at fertilizers.
Habang ang inaangkat naman ng Pilipinas sa Vietnam ay cereals; electrical machinery and equipment and parts, iron and steel; salt, Sulphur, earths, and Stine; plastering materials, lime, and cement; at miscellaneous edible preparations. RNT
