MANILA, Philippines- Hindi kahina-hinala ang narekober na liham kung saan nakasaad ang pangalan ni dating Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque sa paghalughog sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub sa Porac, Pampanga, ayon sa Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
“The document itself is innocent. The document is not of suspicious or criminal nature,” pahayag ni PAOCC spokesperson Winston John Casio sa Saturday News Forum sa Quezon City.
Si PAOCC Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz ang nagsiwalat ng liham na may petsang 2021 at natagpuan kamakailan sa loob ng Lucky South 99 compound sa Porac.
Samantala, sinabi ni Casio na natagpuan din ng PAOCC ang isang affidavit of support na nagsasabing si Roque ang magpopondo sa travel costs ng dati niyang executive assistant.
Nagsilbi si Roque na abogado para sa Whirlwind Corporation na kompanyang nagparenta ng property nito sa Lucky South 99.
“If Mr. Roque was lawyering for Whirlwind Corporation, that in itself does not constitute any suspicious activity,” ani Casio, idinagdag na, “there is nothing criminal if you are lawyering for the corporation.”
“Likewise, finding a document of his special assistant in one of the buildings does not also constitute suspicious activity,” patuloy niya.
Wika pa ng PAOCC official, hindi iniimbestigahan ng body ang dating executive assistant ni Roque.
“I don’t want to impute malice because it would be unfair to [former] Secretary Roque… There is nothing suspicious about it, giit niya.
Nang kunan ng komento, sinabi ni Roque na ang nadiskubreng mga dokumento ay “just appointment paper of a former staffer… I believe his clearance was also found.”
“That’s it. Nothing related to POGO,” pahayag ni Roque.
