Pasok sa gobyerno ‘half-day’ lang sa Miyerkoles Santo

MANILA, Philippines – PINAYAGAN ng Malakanyang na magpatupad ang mga tanggapan ng gobyerno ng work from home setup mula alas-8:00 ng umaga hanggang alas-12 ng gabi at suspendigin ang trabaho mula tanghali ng Holy Wednesday hanggang pasulong.

Ito’y upang mabigyan ng oportunidad ang mga empleyado ng gobyerno na mag-travel o mag-byahe at maghanda para sa Holy Week break.

“To provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on 17-18 April 2025, and to allow them to travel to and from the different regions in the country, the following arrangements are hereby adopted in government offices on 16 April 2025: (a) work from home from 8:00 in the morning to 12:00 in the afternoon, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations; and (b) suspension of work in government offices, from 12:00 in the afternoon onwards,” ang nakasaad sa Memorandum Circular 81 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, araw ng Lunes.

“However, agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and vital services will continue their operations under usual working arrangements,” ang sinabi pa rin ng MC.

Samantala, ang adopsyon ng work from home at suspensyon ng trabaho para sa mga private companies at tanggapan ay ipinauubaya na ng Malakanyang sa diskresyon ng kani-kanilang mga employer.

Dahil weekend at karamihan sa mga eskuwelahan ay nasa bakasyon na, ang mga travelers o byahero ay nagsimula nang magtungo sa mga probinsya para ipagdiwang ang Holy Week, isang pag-gunita sa “Passion, Death and Resurrection” ng Poong Hesukristo sa pamamagitan ng church services, prusisyon at personal na mga paggawa ng penitensiya.
