MANILA, Philippines – Ipinag-utos na ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero ang suspensyon ng pasok sa Mataas na Kapulungan ngayong hapon ng Lunes, Hulyo 21 dahil sa masamang panahon.
Sa abiso, sinabi na ang pasok sa lahat ng opisina sa Senado ay hanggang alas-2 ng hapon na lamang.
“Personnel of the Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms and Maintenance and General Services Bureau who follow shifting schedule are not included in the shortened work hours,” saad sa abiso.
Samantala, sinuspinde na rin ang pasok sa Kamara simula alas-4 ng hapon.
“Due to heavy downpour and flooding caused by the southwest monsoon, work at the House of Representatives is suspended starting 4 pm. today,” sinabi ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
“Only essential personnel, as determined by their respective Deputy Secretaries General or the Sergeant-at-Arms, will render service,” dagdag pa niya.
Bago nito, matatandaan na sinuspinde na ng Malakanyang ang pasok sa lahat ng antas ng paaralan at opisina ng pamahalaan sa Metro Manila at siyam iba pang probinsya dahil sa epekto ng Habagat. RNT/JGC
