MANILA, Philippines- Nanawagan si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa local government executives na ituloy lamang na maging karapat-dapat sa tiwala ng kanilang mga constituents.
Sinabi Ito ni Pangulong Marcos sa Local Governance Summit 2024 na isinagawa sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) sa Pasay City.
”I look forward that you will continue to be accountable, reliable, and efficient in bringing our people closer to the opportunities that they all deserve. Your cooperation with the national government is invaluable for it is only with your help that we can achieve our shared aspirations,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos sa kanyang naging talumpati.
”To us leaders, let us remain worthy of the trust and confidence of our fellow Filipinos,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
Hinikayat ni Pangulong Marcos ang local chief executives na maging epektibo na tagapangasiwa ng komunidad upang mapagtagumpayan ang progreso sa kani-kanilang lugar.
”I hope [that] our local leaders will actively participate in this Summit’s sessions. I hope you are inspired by the innovations and best practices from the international community as shared with us, from our partners and allies from South Korea, from Indonesia, Japan, and other international organizations,” aniya pa rin .
”This is the moment to rise as effective stewards of your respective localities, to drive progress in your communities, [and] to nurture a culture of collaboration amongst concerned stakeholders,” dagdag na wika ni Pangulong Marcos.
Tinuran ni Pangulong Marcos na ang publiko ay dumedepende sa gabay at serbisyo ng local officials para iangat ang kanilang buhay.
Nais ng LGU Summit na palakasin ang kolaborasyon sa pagitan ng national at local governments.
May temang ”LGUs sa Bagong Pilipinas: Smart. Resilient. Driven.,” kasama ang local leaders at stakeholders “to explore innovative approaches and share best practices in governance and public service.” Kris Jose
