MANILA, Philippines – Nagbitiw sa puwesto noong Setyembre 3 si Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) Executive Director Atty. Herbert Matienzo dahil sa “personal reasons,” ayon kay Trade Secretary Maria Cristina Roque.
Nauna nang inilagay ni Roque sa kanyang direktang superbisyon ang PCAB at Construction Industry Association of the Philippines (CIAP) at bumuo ng fact-finding team para imbestigahan ang umano’y conflict of interest at iregularidad sa accreditation ng contractors.
Kasabay ng pagbibitiw, kamakailan ay binawi ng PCAB ang lisensya ng siyam na kompanya ni Sarah Discaya na sangkot sa kontrobersyal na flood control projects.
Nag-anunsyo rin si Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon ng malawakang revamp sa PCAB. RNT
