Manila, Philippines – Nabigyan ng R-13 rating ang dalawang pelikulang gawang-Pinoy ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), habang inaprubahan naman ang pagpapalabas ng tatlong sineng dayuhan.
Hinikayat ni MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto ang mga manonood na suportahan ang pelikulang Pilipino at gamitin ang pagkakataon na gabayan ang viewing habits ng kanilang mga anak.
“R-13 ang rating ng local films na palabas ngayong linggo. Inaanyayahan namin ang mga manonood na dalhin ang kanilang mga pamilya sa sinehan at tangkilikin ang gawang-Pilipino,” sabi nya.
“Pero bago bumili ng tiket, dapat angkop ang sineng panonoorin sa edad at pag-intindi ng mga bata. Ito ay pagkakataon na gabayan natin sila sa panonood at protektahan sa mga masasamang impluwensya,” diin ni Sotto.
Ang Filipino romantic comedy na “Saving Cherry” ay rated R-13. Bida rito sina Barbie Forteza, Khalil Ramos, AC Bonifacio, Mika Salamanca, Mikee Quintos at Sassa Gurl.
Mayroon itong “mature themes relevant to a newlywed navigating the challenges of her relationship together with her ride-or-die girl squad,” sabi ng Ahensiya.
“The content contains occasional profanity and sexually suggestive language, but not in a frequent manner. The material includes explicit sexual references and moderate sexual situations, often involving romantic relationships,” paliwanag ng MTRCB.
Ang “The Guardian,” isang Filipino-Korean action movie, ay rated R-13 dahil sa tema nitong illegal gambling syndicates na may mga eksenang martial arts at karahasan.
R-16 naman ang “Onslaught,” isang action thriller na pinagbibidahan ni Adria Arjona.
Ang “graphic but non-gratuitous depiction of violence and gore, language, themes of government experimentations” nito ay maaaring hindi akma sa mga manonood edad 16 pababa.
Ang horror film na “Origin Unknown” ay rated R-13 at eksklusibong ipapalabas sa Megaworld Cinemas. Tampok dito si Daniel Fernandez.
Ang pelikula ay may “depictions of horror, frightening scenes and occasional gore, discrete, infrequent, brief and non-graphic depictions of sexual activity, infrequent and non-graphic depiction of violence and suffering, infrequent and non-vulgar use of strong swear words or sexual derived or suggestive expletives and expressions, moderate swear words and menacing language.”
Samantala, mapapanood ang “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris” sa SM Cinemas.
Ito ay rated PG (Parental Guidance) dahil sa “powerhouse performance by the lead and the dancers which include some sensual choreography movements, skimpy costumes and adult lyrics of some songs.”
“Overall production includes extreme set-ups with lots of flying and lifting that may be dangerous if not done professionally. Parental Guidance is recommended for very young audiences,” sabi ng Ahensiya.
Ang G o General Audience ay para sa lahat ng edad. Sa PG o Parental Guidance, kailangang may kasamang magulang o guardian ang batang manonood.
Ang R-13 ay para sa edad 13 at pataas, samantalang ang R-16 ay sa edad 16 at pataas. Ang R-18 naman ay sa mga nasa wastong edad lamang. JP Ignacio
