Pinas bumama ng 3 pwesto sa World Digital Competitiveness Ranking

MANILA, Philippines – BUMABA ang Pilipinas ng tatlong spot at pumwesto sa ika-59 mula sa 64 bansa sa World Digital Competitiveness Ranking ngayong taon.

Ito ang makikita sa report ng Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Sa Asia-Pacific region, pumwesto ang Pilipinas sa ika-13 mula sa 14 bansa , “only ahead of Mongolia which placed 63rd overall.”

Ang bansa ay pumwesto sa ika-56 sa overall noong nakaraang taon at ika-58 noong 2021.

“The ranking considered three main factors where the Philippines also posted slight declines compared with its 2022 data – knowledge (63rd from 62nd), technology (51st from 49th), and future readiness (59th from 58th),” ayon sa ulat.

Ang limang bansa na nanguna sa listahan ay ang Estados Unidos, Netherlands, Singapore, Denmark, at Switzerland na kinokonsidera ng IMD bilang “digital nations,” o mga bansa para mapadali ang full adoption ng digital technologies gaya ng artificial intelligence (AI).

“While we measure no specific AI indicators, the technology sits silently at the core of the subfactors that we quantify: talent, regulatory and technological frameworks, and adaptive attitudes and business agility,” ayon kay IMD’s World Competitiveness Center professor Arturo Bris.

“On a data level, the quality of digital regulation, the funding available for technology development, and the degree of company agility are all data points that are enmeshed with AI,” aniya pa rin.
