“It sends this message to the world. The Philippines is now ready to innovate, to lead, to become the go to destination for high-tech, high impact investments, as the first manufacturing plant in the Philippines for advanced iron phosphate batteries, often used in renewable energy and electrical vehicles,” ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos.

“The StB Giga Factory sets the stage for the Philippines to become a player in clean storage in our part of the world, in Southeast Asia, in our region,” aniya pa rin.

“To the entire team behind the StB Giga Factory, thank you for taking this leap of faith with us. You have established a foundation for a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous Bagong Pilipinas,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“And to the rest of us, I will say, don’t blink. Change is happening faster than you think, even when faced with challenges like Typhoon Julian. While we are here discussing innovation, the government is working behind the scenes.” ang sinabi pa rin ng Pangulo.

“Thousands of family food packs are now being prepared, healthcare centers are on high alert, and our farmers and fisherfolk are taking steps to safeguard their livelihoods. Typhoon Julian is going to pass north of the Philippines. So, those in Regions 1, 2, and 3 as well as NCR and CAR— know that we are not just talking about resilience; we are making it happen,” ang dagdag na pahayag ng Pangulo.

“At full production capacity, StB Giga is also expected to pour in over PHP5 billion annually into the local economy, with contributions coming from businesses, suppliers and partners benefiting from their operations,” ayon sa ulat.

“The initial production line of StB Giga has a capacity of 300 megawatt-hours (MWh) annually, equivalent to about 6,000 electric vehicles (EVs) batteries or about 60,000 home battery systems in developing countries such as the Philippines,” ayon pa rin sa ulat. Kris Jose
