Muling kinalampag ni Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na pabilisin ang pagdakip kay Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Sa pahayag, isinagawa ni Hontiveros ang panawaran matapos matuklasan na may posibilidad na “failure of intelligence” sa bahagi ng PNP kaya hindi madakip ang lider ng awtoridad.
Muling iginiit ng senador kay bagong PNP chief Rommel Francisco Marbil na arestuhin kaagad si Quiboloy, na nahaharap sa kanyang pagkakasangkot sa pang-aabusong seksuwal , human trafficking, at labor violations.
“There are already three arrest warrants served against hi, one from a Davao City court, the other from a Pasig court, and that is for a non-bailable offense, and the Senate’s own arrest warrant,” ani Hontiveros sa pahayag.
“But until now he still can’t be secure. He still hasn’t been arrested, that’s why I call on our new PNP Chief Marbil for the PNP to step up,” giit niya.
“Because there must have been failure of intelligence, that’s why they can’t find the whereabouts of Quiboloy so he can be arrested,” ayon pa sa senador.
Kasabay nito, muling hiniling ni Hontiveros sa PNP na kanselahin ang lahat ng lisensiya ni Quiboloy sa armas kabilang ang kasabwat nito sa nabanggit na krimen.
Ipinananawagan ni Hontiveros ang pagkansela ng lisensiya sa baril ng lider matapos kumalat sa social media ang video at litrato ni Quiboloy at private army na naging viral.
“What are they still waiting for before they cancel the licenses of all the firearms owned by Quiboloy? Because it’s very evident in social media, so what evidence does the PNP need?” ayon sa Senate women and children’s panel chief.
“Quiboloy has a private army, they are armed, and they are posting on social media that they are prepared to die and prepared to use their weapons. They are ready to harass just to protect Quiboloy,” ani Hontiveros.
