MANILA, Philippines – Suportado ng PCG ang pagpapatupad ng security operations sa panahon ng Traslacion 2024.
Inatasan na ni Coast Guard Commandant ,CG Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan, ang Coast Guard District NCR – Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) na suportahan ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagpapatupad ng security operations sa panahon ng Black Nazarene Traslacion sa Enero 9, 2024.
Ayon kay CG Admiral Gavan, magdedeploy ang PCG ng Coast Guard K9 units para magsagawa ng paneling sa Quirino Grandstand, Jones Bridge, at sa Quiapo Church.
Bukod sa pagtulong sa mga operatiba ng crowd control, tutulong din ang PCG personnel sa security forces sa bisinidad ng Pasig River at Manila Bay sa bahagi ng Quirino Grandstand sa pamamagitan ng coastal patrols na lulan ng coast guard floating assets.
Naka-standby din ang coast guard medical teams para sa pagsasagawa ng mass evacuation gamit ang Pasig River at Manila Bay kapag kinakailangan sa panahon ng prusisyon.
