“While I have yet to officially receive a copy of the complaint allegedly filed against me, I welcome the opportunity to address this matter in the proper legal forum. My advocacy remains firm: to protect the Filipino public against misinformation, panic-mongering, and dangerous, unverified health claims. As a public servant and a medical professional, my priority has always been, and will always be, the welfare apanira g pahayag nito noong and safety of our people.”
“Legal actions are part of the landscape when you stand up for the public interest and I am fully prepared to face these allegations squarely under the rule of law.
We will file the appropriate responsive pleadings once we receive the official copy of the complaint, dagdag pa ni Garin.
Si Leachon ay naghain ng cyberlibel laban kay Garindahil sa mapanirang pahayag nito na “killing a patient without seeing the patient” sa isang video at pagnanais umano na kwestyunin ang kaniyang professional competence at sirain ang kaniyang reputasyon.
Bnigyang diin ni Leachon na ” he has not personally participated in “badmouthing or personal attacks” against the solon and that his complaint was purely meant to condemn an unlawful action directed his way.” (Meliza Maluntag)
