MANILA, Philippines – Ipinagmalaki ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kanilang mga hakbang sa internal cleansing at mahigpit na recruitment laban sa mga “ninja cops”, o mga pulis na kumukuha ng bahagi ng ilegal na droga para ipagbenta.
Ani PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., “The Philippine National Police reaffirms its commitment that ninja cops have no place in our organization.”
Dagdag pa niya, “Our internal cleansing process is strong and this is reinforced by our aggressive push to inculcate integrity and professionalism in each and every police officer… We are also keen on our hiring process to identify any lapses so that we can prevent rogue personnel from entering our organization.”
Ayon kay Nartatez, ang ahensya ay nagsampa na ng kaso at nagtanggal sa serbisyo ng mga pulis na nasangkot.
Ito ay kasunod ng pahayag ni Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla sa pagkasira ng P4.56-bilyong halaga ng ilegal na droga sa Cavite, na ayon sa kanya, nabawasan na ang drug recycling sa ilalim ng administrasyong Marcos Jr.
Bilang babala, sinabi ni Nartatez, “To our police officers, let this be a warning to you that all ninja cops will be removed from the service.” RNT/MND
