MANILA, Philippines – Kinumpirma ni House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe na iimbestigahan ng Kamara ang sinasabing gentleman’s agreement sa pagitan ni dating President Rodrigo Duterte at China kaugnay sa West Philippine Sea.
Ayon kay Dalipe ang aksyon ng Kamara ay alinsunod sa inihaing resolusyon na nanawagan na kumilos ang House leadership at alamin ang kontrobersiyal na secret agreement na maaaring isang treason case.
“In response to the request of our colleagues the House of Representatives will consider the call to probe the supposed gentleman’s agreement when Congress resumes its regular sessions next week. Protecting our national territory and marine resources are of utmost importance.” pahayag ni Dalipe
“The inquiry is aimed at guaranteeing transparency and protecting the national interests” dagdag pa nito.
Nilinaw naman ni Dalipe na “comprehensive at fair inquiry” ang kanilang gagawin na ang layunin ay mabigyang linaw ang isyu na isang critical national issue.
