Signal No. 1 pinairal sa ilang lugar kay TD Gener

MANILA, Philippines- Itinaas ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 sa 11 lugar sa Luzon matapos mabuo ng low pressure area sa silangan ng Aurora bilang si Tropical Depression Gener, base sa state weather bureau PAGASA nitong Lunes.

Sa 8 a.m. bulletin, sinabi ng PAGASA na nasa ilalim ng TCWS No. 1 ang mga sumusunod na lugar:

  • eastern at central portions ng Mainland Cagayan (Piat, Santo Niño, Camalaniugan, Tuao, Lal-Lo, Enrile, Gonzaga, Alcala, Amulung, Santa Teresita, Baggao, Buguey, Solana, Rizal, Santa Ana, Tuguegarao City, Gattaran, Peñablanca, Iguig, Lasam, Aparri, Ballesteros, Allacapan, Abulug)

  • Isabela

  • Quirino 

  • eastern portion ng Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castaneda, Kasibu, Dupax del Norte, Quezon, Diadi, Bayombong, Ambaguio, Bagabag, Villaverde, Aritao, Bambang, Dupax del Sur, Solano)

  • eastern at southern portions ng Apayao (Conner, Flora, Pudtol, Santa Marcela, Luna, Kabugao)

  • Kalinga

  • eastern at central portions ng Mountain Province (Paracelis, Sadanga, Bontoc, Natonin, Sabangan, Barlig)

  • Ifugao

  • Aurora

  • eastern portion ng Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Pantabangan, Bongabon, Gabaldon, Laur, General Tinio, Rizal, General Mamerto Natividad, Palayan City)

  • northern portion ng Mainland Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real) saklaw ang Polillo Islands

Sinabi ng PAGASA na si Gener ay matatagpuan 315 kilometers east northeast ng Casiguran, Aurora, na may maximum sustained winds na 45 km per hour malapit sa sentro at gustiness hanggang 55 kph.

Kumikilos ang tropical depression sa direksyong westward sa bilis na 10 kph.

Inaasahang magla-landfall si Gener sa Isabela o Aurora sa susunod na 24 oras at lalakas bilang tropical storm sa Miyerkules.

“It is forecast to make landfall on either Isabela or Aurora within the next 24 hours,” pahayag ng PAGASA.

“GENER is likely to experience limited intensification over the next two days but is expected to reach Tropical Storm category by Wednesday after emerging over the West Philippine Sea,” dagdag nito.
