MANILA, Philippines – Inilunsad ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) nitong Sabado ang SkillPass, isang skills certification program para sa mga benepisyaryo ng Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).
Layunin nitong gawing dokumentadong skills at certifications ang temporary work experience ng mga TUPAD beneficiaries para magamit sa paghahanap ng trabaho, pagtatayo ng maliit na negosyo, pag-aapply sa ibang bansa o karagdagang technical training.
“A key TUPAD innovation is SkillPass, which helps beneficiaries turn their temporary work experience into a record of certifiable skills they can use for their next opportunity. It documents the work they performed and the competencies or certifications they earned,” ayon sa DOLE.
Ilalabas ang SkillPass certification sa loob ng 15 araw matapos ang TUPAD engagement. Dadaan din ang mga benepisyaryo sa profiling at job matching kasama ang TESDA at Public Employment Service Offices (PESO).
Kabilang sa prayoridad na trabaho ang digital services, green construction, agrikultura, care work, food service, transport at equipment maintenance.
Inilunsad din ng DOLE ang Trabahong-Dagat at Blue Enterprise Development, isang work-to-skills employment at livelihood program para sa TUPAD workers, partikular sa mga coastal community. Unang ipatutupad ito sa Zambales at Zamboanga Peninsula.
May tatlong track ang programa: Dagat Skills and Services, Isda Skills and Production, at Blue Enterprise Development para sa pagtatayo ng maliliit na negosyo. RNT/MDS
