MANILA, Philippines — Ayon kay Vice President Sara Duterte nitong Linggo, babasahin niya ang talumpati ng Pangulo upang malaman kung anong uri ng “pambobola” at “panlilinlang” ang sasabihin nito sa publiko. Ito ay dahil hindi siya dadalo sa ika-apat na State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Marcos.
Sa pagsasalita sa isang rally sa Seoul, South Korea, pinuna ng bise presidente si Marcos sa kanyang mga flood-control projects, foreign policy and borrowing, dahil inamin niya na nagkamali siya sa paniniwalang nais ng pangulo na mapabuti ang bansa.
“I thought… what he wanted was a more beautiful Philippines. Why? Because our children are there, who will be the next Filipinos to live in our country, so we want to leave it in good condition. Beautiful. Prosperous. Disciplined. With Filipinos and the country being rich” ayon kay Duterte.
“I don’t understand why he does not have the same view when it comes to what needs to be done for the country. I don’t know why all of us have the same dream for our country, but there are some, and unfortunately for us they are all sitting in the government, who do not have the same dream for our nation,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi ng Bise Presidente na ayaw niyang manood ng Sona ng Pangulo dahil siya ay “triggered” kapag nakikinig kay Marcos, dagdag pa niya na “sometimes, it goes past irritation. Sometimes it’s anger. You just want to break the screen of your phone.”
Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Duterte na “we need to read [the President’s Sona.] We need to read because we need to know what kinds of flattery are being said to the public. What sort of deception.”
Ayon kay Duterte, kabilang umano sa mga “scam” ng pangulo ang kanyang mga flood-control projects, na bumabatikos kay Marcos sa kanyang pahayag kamakailan kung saan inilarawan niya ang malakas na pag-ulan sa bansa nitong nakaraang linggo bilang “new normal.”
“Just go swimming because that is how it is. When there’s a storm, there’s floods. But why, if that’s how it is, when there’s a storm, there’s a flood, that’s the new normal, that’s just how it is, why are there so many flood-control projects? Billions and billions,” aniya.
Binatikos din ni Duterte si Marcos sa budget ng bansa, na aniya’y nahahati lamang sa iba’t ibang kongresista, at napupunta sa bulsa ng isang opisyal o sa mga walang kwentang proyekto.
“How was I able to say that? I came from the Department of Education (DepEd). They had me sign a budget wherein the entire budget of a school building program was divided between several congressmen. And they told me, that’s really how the budget is made,” saad ni Duterte, na nagbitiw bilang DepEd secretary noong nakaraang taon, matapos ang isang maliwanag na away sa administrasyong Marcos.
“That really made me think, was I wrong? Or did they just get used to that sort of process? Our budget does not go to the true and correct projects for the community,” dagdag pa rin niya.
Sinabi pa niya na ang badyet ay hiniram lamang, na nagresulta sa mataas na utang ng bansa.
Binatikos din ng bise presidente si Marcos dahil sa kawalan niya ng malinaw na independent foreign policy, na idiniin na itinatadhana ng konstitusyon na hindi dapat pumanig ang Pilipinas sa anumang dayuhang bansa.
“But what do we see now? What we are seeing is the militarization of our country. The entry of Americans into the different areas of our country. The establishment of arms factories in our country,” aniya.
Idiniin niya na si US President Trump mismo, sa opisyal na pagbisita ng Pangulo noong nakaraang linggo, ay nagsabi na dati ang bansa ay “tilted towards China… and is now tilting towards the United States.”
Nauna nang sinabi ni Duterte noong Hunyo na hindi siya dadalo sa Sona ng Pangulo, na nangangatuwiran na wala siyang obligasyon na makinig dahil walang batas na nag-aatas sa kanya na gawin ito.
Nauna ring inihayag ng bise presidente na pupunta siya sa South Korea para personal na pasalamatan ang Filipino community sa dayuhang bansa, bago bumalik sa Pilipinas.
Sa rally sa Seoul nitong Linggo, sinabi ni Duterte na susunod siyang bibisita sa Kuwait, gayunpaman, hindi siya nag-anunsyo ng petsa para sa paparating na biyahe. RNT/MND
