AS someone who has long observed the political landscape of Caloocan, I cannot stay silent amid the ongoing smear campaigns against our city’s hardworking mayor, Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan.
It is disheartening that despite his relentless dedication to serve, some still choose to tear him down instead of acknowledging his efforts to uplift the lives of Caloocan residents.
Before casting stones, critics should take a closer look at his record — from his humble beginnings as barangay captain, to city councilor, congressman and now serving his second term as mayor.
His consistent victories are not an accident – they are proof of the people’s enduring trust. You don’t win repeatedly in Caloocan without genuine connection, credibility and visible results.
Malapitan’s leadership is built not on empty promises or self-promotion, but on action — on roads improved, communities strengthened and programs that reach even the most ordinary citizen.
His approach to governance is grounded in empathy, discipline and unshakable dedication to public service.
Yet, in the noise of politics, some still cling to lies and misinformation, hoping to stain his reputation. But truth, as it always does, rises above falsehood.
And in Caloocan, the truth is clear: progress continues because leadership works. The people can see the results — and results speak louder than rumors.
