MANILA, Philippines- Sinimulan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) noong Lunes ang pitong buwang panahon ng pagpaparehistro ng mga botante para sa 2025 pambansa at lokal na halalan.
Sa unang araw ng voter registration, alas-4 pa lamang ng madaling araw ay pumila na ang ilang residente sa tanggapan ng Comelec sa Arroceros.
Nakatakda ring simulan ang Comelec’s Register Anywhere Program (RAP), na nagpapahintulot sa mga karapat-dapat na Pilipino na magparehistro para bumoto sa mga itinalagang site tulad ng mga mall at paaralan.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Comelec chairman George Garcia na hindi na magiging mahigpit ang voter registration sa loob ng malls, kung saan inaasahang matatapos ng bawat registrant ang kanilang aplikasyon sa loob ng humigit-kumulang 10 minuto.
Nasa 170 malls sa buong bansa ang inaasahang magho-host ng RAP.
Sa kanilang pagpaparehistro, ang mga aplikante ay kailangang magprisenta ng mga sumusunod na government-issued identification cards (ID) bearing their signature:
National Identification (ID) card ng Philippine Identification System (PhilSys)
Postal ID card
PWD ID card
Student’s ID card o library card, na pirmado ng school authority
Senior Citizen’s ID card
Land Transportation Office (LTO) Driver’s License/Student Permit
National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
Philippine Passport
Social Security System (SSS)/Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) or other Unified Multi-Purpose ID card
Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID card
Lisensyang inisyu ng Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC)
Certificate of Confirmation na inisyu ng National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) kapag miyembro ng ICCs o IPs
Barangay Identification/ Certification na may larawan o iba pang government-issued valid ID
