#WalangPasok sa UST sa EDSA anniv

MANILA, Philippines- Inanunsyo ng University of Sto. Tomas na suspendido ang klase sa February 25, araw ng Martes sa ika-39 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, base sa post ng The Varsitarian, ang official student publication nito.

Base sa memorandum na ipinalabas ng Office of the Secretary General ng unibersidad, hinimok ang “Thomasians to participate in activities commemorating the spirit of the revolt, which toppled the two-decade Marcos Sr. dictatorship.”

“As we commemorate the EDSA People Power Revolution, we are reminded of the power of unity, courage, and peaceful action. Let us stand united and never forget that true power lies in the collective will of the people, and it is our responsibility to uphold the values of integrity, justice, and freedom for generations to come,” anito.

Idineklara ang February 25 bilang isang special working holiday.

Nauna nang inanunsyo ng De La Salle University ang suspensyon ng klase at school operations sa February 25.  Sinabi ng paaralan na sa halip ay magsasagawa ito ng “Alternative Learning Day.”

“To commemorate the EDSA People Power Revolution, classes at all levels and work on all campuses of the University are called off on February 25, 2025. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in activities commemorating the event during this Alternative Learning Day,” anunsyo ng DLSU.

“All campuses shall remain open for the holding of alternative activities. Libraries, however, shall be closed,” dagdag nito.

Nagkaroon din ng parehong anunsyo ang De La Salle Araneta University.

“In recognition of the enduring significance of People Power and following the proposal forwarded by the Lasallian Partners Council, the University President has decided to suspend classes and school operations on February 25, 2025, in commemoration of this pivotal event in our nation’s history,” batay sa abiso na ipinost ng Office of the University Chancellor.
