Sa ilalim ng House Bill No. 7864, palalawakin ang Special Program for the Creative Arts (SPCA) ng Department of Education upang maisama ang architecture and allied arts, cinema, design, digital fabrication at new media.
“Strengthening arts education in our secondary schools will harness their potential and help us build a sustainable pipeline of skilled and industry-ready creatives who can compete globally while telling distinctly Filipino stories,” ani Yamsuan.
Kasama sa konseho ang mga kinatawan ng DepEd, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Department of Trade and Industry, Cultural Center of the Philippines, Commission on Higher Education, Philippine Creative Industries Development Council at Creative Economy Council of the Philippines.
Kasalukuyang pending ang HB 7864 sa House Committee on Basic Education and Culture. RNT
