MANILA, Philippines – Kinumpirma ni House Spokesperson Atty. Princess Abante na nasa Estados Unidos si Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co para sa isang medical treatment.
“Based on my initial inquiry before the Office of the House Secretary General Reginald Velasco, he is currently out of the country,” pahayag ni Abante.
Mula nang magsimula ang 20th Congress noong Hulyo 28 ay hindi pa nakita sa Kamara si Co.
“I understand he is in the United States for medical treatment, with appropriate travel documents,” dagdag pa ni Abante.
Nang tanungin kung hanggang kailan si Co sa US, sinabi ni Abante na wala syang impormasyon sa sakop na petsa sa travel authority ni Co.
Si Co ay inaakusahan ni Navotas Rep Toby Tiangco na siyang nagsingit ng bilyon bilyong pondo sa ilalim ng 2025 budget, pumutok muli ang pangalan nito nang madawit sa mga kontrobersiyal na flood control projects.
Nagsilbi bilang House appropriations Chairman si Co mula July 2022 hanggang January 2025 bago ito nagbitiw sa pwesto dahil sa health reasons. /Gail Mendoza
