MANILA, Philippines- Itinutulak ng transportation groups ang dagdag ₱2 na pamasahe sa lahat ng public utility vehicles sa buong bansa sa gitna ng pagtaas ng presyo ng langis.

Ipinanawagan ito ng Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators sa Pilipinas, Pagkakaisa ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide, Stop & Go Transport Coalition Incorporated, at The Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines.
Ikinasa ito sa pamamagitan ng isang liham ngayong Biyernes para kay Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III.
Inihirit nila ang dagdag-pasahe na sasaklawin ang unang apat na kilometro, base sa mga grupo.
Sinabi ng mga kinatawan ng mga grupo na ang mga produktong petrolyo at naging “uncontrollable in surge of prices every week.”
Bukod dito, binanggit ng mga grupo ang pagtaas din ng presyo ng mga parte ng sasakyan.
“These are just a few reasons that stakeholders providers of the service are almost living a hand-to-mouth existence if the government will not do any measures that may somehow address these issues and concerns,” saad sa liham.
“The immediate action and consideration of the good chairman of the LTFRB on this matter will go a long way in uplifting the economic conditions of the drivers and operators,” dagdag nito. Jan Sinocruz
