MANILA, Philippines- Lalahukan ang Scarborough Shoal convoy sa May 5 ng 100 civilian fishing boats.
Magtatapos ito sa pagkakabit ng assertive buoys. Magpapatuloy ang civilian mission sa kabila ng umiigting na tensyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).
Inihayag ng Atin Ito coalition na dalawang mother boats ang mangunguna sa civilian mission, na naglalayon ding magdala ng mahahalagang suplay para sa mga mangingisda roon.
“The primary objectives of the mission are to conduct a ‘peace and solidarity regatta’ within our EEZ, during which symbolic markers/buoys emblazoned with the rallying cry “WPS, Atin Ito!” (WPS is ours!) will be placed to reinforce our country’s territorial integrity,” pahayag ni Atin Ito coalition co-convenor Rafaela David nitong Huwebes.
“We will also explore the possibility of delivering essential supplies, including fuel, to Filipino fishers operating in the area,” dagdag niya. RNT/SA
