MANILA, Philippines – SANIB-PUWERSA ang Department of Education (DepEd) at ang 168 local government units (LGUs) para palakasin ang classroom project monitoring.
Sa katunayan, kapuwa lumagda sa supplemental memoranda of agreement (MOAs) ang magkabilang panig para i-localized ang classroom construction program nito, habang pinaigting ng ahensiya ang pagmo-monitor sa mga proyekto.
Ayon sa DepEd, kabilang sa partner LGUs ay ang 72 lalawigan, 73 lungsod at 23 munisipalidad.
Tinuran ng departamento na pinalakas nito ang monitoring framework upang matiyak na ang classroom construction projects ay ipinatutupad ng LGUs alinsunod sa ‘national timelines, digital validation processes, at quality standards.’
Ani Education Secretary Sonny Angara, layon ng departamento na siguruhin na ang mga bagong silid-aralan ay itinayo ng mahusay habang sinisiguro ang government standards.
“Ang ating layunin ay hindi lamang basta makapagpatayo ng gusali, kundi masigurong ang bawat pisong ginagastos ay nagiging kalidad at ligtas na silid-aralan para sa ating mga mag-aaral,” anito.
Idinagdag pa nito na ipagpapatuloy ng DepEd na i-monitor ang mga proyekto upang mapanatili ang mga ito sa itinakdang iskedyul.
“We are working tirelessly to ensure these classrooms are built with efficiency and transparency, as this infrastructure is the bedrock of a quality learning environment. We will continue to hold our partners and our internal systems to the highest level of accountability to ensure these projects remain on track,” ayon sa Kalihim.
Sinabi pa ng DepEd na “of the 149 LGUs currently under monitoring, 130 are in the pre-procurement stage for classroom construction projects in 358 schools. The pre-procurement activities include preparing the Program of Work and Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design, conducting market scoping, and carrying out pre-bidding, bid posting, and bid opening.”
