MANILA, Philippines – Pinatawan ng parusang kulong ng Roxas Oriental Mindoro RTC ang dalawang nahuling miyembro ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New Peoples Army (CPP-NPA) na guilty sa kasong illegal possession of firearms and explosive.
Iniulat ng Department of Justice Task Force on Counter-Terrorism I (DOJ-TFCT 1) na hinatulan na guilty sa kasong Unauthorized Issuance of Authority to Carry Firearm at Ammunition Outside of Residence and Illegal Transfer/Registration of Firearms sina Arnulfo Aumentado alyas Ka Aryo at Mary Joyce Liza alyas Ka Louise.
“The period within which they are detained shall be credited in full should they abide by and follow the rules and regulations of the institution where they are continuously detained,” nakasaad sa desisyun ng korte.
Batay sa rekord, April 26, 2023 nang mahuli ng Philippine Army ang dalawang akusado sa Brgy. Santa Teresita Mansalay Oriental Mindoro.
Narekober sa dalawa ang isang carbine rifle, isang chamber-loaded Intratec submachine gun, isang improvised hand grenade at dalawang piraso ng blasting caps.
Pilit pa na itinatanggi ng dalawang akusado ang bintang sa kanila ngunit kalaunan ay pumayag na rin sila sa plea-bargaining agreement batay sa payo ng kanilang abogado.
Pinuri naman ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang DOJ Task Force on Counter Terrorism sa tagumpay ng pamahalaan laban sa terorismo.
“Terrorism must have no place in society, especially under the present administration’s rule where peace and unity reigns supreme over violence or hatred.
