LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Dalawang miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang nasawi sa magkakasunod na sagupaan laban sa pwersa ng gobyerno sa dalawang barangay sa Mobo, Masbate, nitong weekend.
Kinilala ni Maj. Frank Roldan, hepe ng 9th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office, ang mga rebeldeng nasawi na sina alias “Lito” at “Roco”.
Nakuha sa mga rebelde ang ilang armas, kagamitan, subersibong dokumento, at mga personal na gamit.
“Our government troops are actively conducting focused military operations to ensure the safety of our citizens and communities, particularly in the remote areas of Bicol. Following a report from a concerned individual about a group of armed men in their vicinity, we initiated combat operations that led to a series of encounters,” saad ni Roldan.
Idinagdag pa ni Roldan na isang sundalo ang nasawi at dalawang iba pa ang sugatan sa nasabing engkwentro.
“The wounded soldiers are now in stable condition and receiving care in the hospital,” aniya. RNT/MND
