MANILA, Philippines – Matagumpay na naisakatuparan ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), ang entrapment operation sa Muntinlupa City na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng dalawang individual na sangkot sa illegal firearms trade, at nakakumpiska ng high-powered weapons at ammunition.
Bandang 3:50 hapon ng December 14, 2024, mga operatiba na nagmula sa Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) NCRPO ang may inisyatiba ng operation sa Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa City, at dinakip ang dalawang suspek sa pag-iingat ng mga armas.
Dalawang iba pang mga suspek ay nanatiling at large bagamat ang operation ay nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa dalawang suspek.
Nasamsam sa operation ang ilang high-powered firearms, kabilang ang apat na Bushmaster rifles (Caliber 5.56mm), DPMS Panther Arm (Caliber 5.56mm), M16 upper at lower receiver, isang converted air gun (Caliber .22), assorted gun parts, at several rounds ammunition, UV powder-dusted buy-bust money, na kinabibilangan ng isang genuine PHP1,000 bill at 299 pieces boodle money.
Ang confiscated evidence ay inimbentaryo “correctly, photographed, and marked in the presence of barangay officials” para matiyak ang transparency ng operation.
