MANILA, Philippines – TINATAYANG umabot na sa 200,000 household-beneficiaries ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ang inaabangang magtatapos mula sa programa ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), sa darating na Setyembre.
“By September, mayroong mga around 200,000 na wala ng eligible children na automatic na mag-eexit sa program,” ayon kay 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO) Director Gemma Gabuya.
Sinabi ni Gabuya na ang pagtatapos ng pamilya sa 4Ps ay alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11310, o mas kilalang bilang 4Ps Law, na nagsasaad na “a qualified household-beneficiary shall be deemed to exit from the program, when the last monitored child in the household turns 19 years old.”
ipinaliwanag pa nito na ang exit date sa Setyembre ay nagkataon sa pagtatapos ng school year upang matiyak na ang mga sinusubaybayang mga bata ay nakompleto na ang kanilang kasalukuyang grade level.
“To ensure that the exiting households will not slide back to poverty, the DSWD is working with other government agencies and local government units to provide livelihood opportunities and other interventions that will help meet the needs of the families,” ayon kay Gabuya.
Sa pagtatapos ng 200,000 household-beneficiaries, makakaya na ngayon ng DSWD na makapag-accommodate ng kahalintulad na bilang ng pamilya sa 4Ps.
“The new program beneficiaries will be extracted from the current list of waitlisted beneficiaries assessed by the Listahanan 3 or the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR),” ayon kay Gabuya.
Ang 4Ps ay national poverty-reduction strategy at human capital investment program ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas na nagbibigay ng conditional cash transfers para mapahusay ang kalusugan, nutrisyon, edukasyon ng mga batang ang edad ay 18 paibaba.
