MANILA, Philippines- Nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang 28,000 SIM (subscriber identity module) sa isang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub sa Pasay City noong Aug. 2, base kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla nitong Lunes, at inihayan na ang mga sangkot ay posibleng unang mahaharap sa kaso sa ilalim ng SIM Registration Law.
“We’re looking at the activation of the SIM Registration Law on how these SIM cards will be used and how the law will operate as to the telcos,” ani Remulla.
“We will ask them [telcos] to help us in our case build-up as we examine the records and examine the equipment that we found and the evidence that we found,” dagdag niya.
Sinabi pa ni Remulla na posibleng kasuhan ang mga empleyado ng POGO, kabilang ang mga pangalang nakarehistro sa SIM, ng poofing at misinterpretation.
