MANILA, Philippines- Isinumite ng limang matataas na opisyal ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang kanilang resignation letters kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nitong Lunes bago ang pagpapalit ng liderato ng ahensya.
Si Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara ang uupong Education Secretary ngayong linggo kasunod ng pagbitiw sa pwesto ni Vice President Sara Duterte noong nakaraang buwan.
Kabilang sa mga opisyal ng ahensya na bumaba sa kanilang pwesto bago ang pag-upo ni Angara bilang pinuno ng ahensya sina Undersecretary Michael Poa, chief of staff din ni Duterte, Undersecretary for Administration Nolasco Mempin, Assistant Secretary Sunshine Fajarda, Assistant Secretary for Procurement Reynold Munsayac at Assistant Secretary for Administration Noel Baluyan.
Epektibo ang kanilang resignation sa Hulyo 19, 2024, katulad ng kay Duterte.
“I think it’s only appropriate for the incoming Secretary of Education, Secretary Angara, to be given a free hand to choose the people that will form part of his team,” pahayag ni Poa sa isang panayam.
